Social Work Trainee – Louise Mount Hospital, Wayanad
Her clinical exposure included case history taking, MSE, interaction with patients and family members, and participation in an anti-drug awareness programme conducted as part of the hospital’s community mental health activities. She also received exposure to working with psychotic, neurotic and substance use disorder patients.
Social Work Trainee – St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru
Her training included patient socio-demographic assessment, psychosocial intervention, counselling, ward visits, case presentations, case discussions, literature review, report writing, record maintenance and rehabilitation programmes. She also participated in the IVDP project at Krishnagiri, assisted in blood donation camps and coordinated hospital-based programmes.

Her dissertation, “Correlation between Animated Cartoons and Violent Behavior in Children,” examined the relationship between exposure to animated cartoons and behavioural patterns among children using social work research methods and data analysis.
She has also presented the research paper at SAMANWAYA International Conference on compassionate intelligence for child protection.

Gincy has contributed to academic and professional activities including international conferences, community awareness programmes, fieldwork initiatives and social work-related academic projects.
She served as Sub Editor of the Compendium of Abstracts for De Novo 2025, an international conference on Reimagining Families: Shifting Paradigms in Social Work Practice, organised by the School of Social Work in collaboration with James Cook University, Australia and the University of Notre Dame, Australia.
