Aleesha C. Basheer is a psychologist, academic, counsellor and mentor with professional interests spanning attachment theory, mental health, relationship psychology, youth development and psychological wellbeing. Her work brings together academic teaching, counselling, mentorship, research and mental health education, with a particular interest in understanding the emotional and relational experiences of young adults.
She currently works as an Assistant Professor of Psychology and as a Consultant Psychologist at Jeevani – Student Wellness Initiative, where she teaches, mentors and provides psychological support to students. Her professional work also extends to universities, schools, startup communities and public-health programmes through invited lectures, workshops, keynote sessions and mental health awareness initiatives.
